DAV roller skaters shine in district roller skating competition

A district-level roller skating competition was held at The Wheels Skating Track, Loharka Road, under the aegis of District Roller Skating Association, for children aged five to 18 years. Star skater Mehak Gupta and Rahul Rai of Class XII from DAV Public School represented DAV Public School in above 17 senior category. Mehak, who already has several awards and records in rollar skating in her name, bagged a total of four gold medals in 500 m, 1000 m, road race 100 m and one-lap categories, while Rahul Rai bagged a silver medal in 500 m, and two gold medals in 3,000 m and one lap racing events. Both the students have been selected for open state skating championship to be held in January 2021.

Principal DAV Public School, Anita Mehra lauded the grit and preparation of these students and congratulated them on this achievement.
