Development works in border areas halted, says Cong ex-MLA
Congress leader and former MLA from Khemkaran Sukhpal Singh Bhullar has called upon party workers to come forward and protest against the style of working of the AAP government in Punjab. The Congress leader was addressing party workers at a meeting organised at Mehmudpur village on Wednesday. He said that development works in the border area had come to a standstill as a result of which link roads got damaged and ponds in villages were overflowing, causing waterlogging on several roads. He said health services were affected as just five per cent posts the medical officers were filled while the rest were lying vacant. Government schools were without teachers, he said.
The former MLA alleged that the state government was dancing to the tunes of non-Punjabi leaders of AAP ,who were handling the administrative affairs, not just at the local, but at the state level, too.
