Devp works inaugurated in govt schools of Ajnala villages
Cabinet minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal today addressed a function organised in the government schools of Riar, Chak Phula and Nangal Vanjhan Wala villages in Ajnala under ‘Sikhiya Kranti’ campaign.
He said that the state government believed that without education there could not be overall development of society, hence the Bhagwant Mann government was giving maximum emphasis on children’s education. Stressing that digital classrooms have now been set by in government schools in border belts, Dhaliwal said the state government was sending schoolteachers abroad for training to provide modern education in schools, so that they could acquire good teaching skills and provide quality education to the students. He has been inaugurating development works in various schools in the remote border belt of Ajnala during the past several days.
Ajnala has high enrolment of students in government primary and senior secondary schools due to lack of good private schools and connectivity issues, owing to which most children in villages prefer to study in nearest government school. While the constituency did require upgrading and development of basic school infrastructure like toilets, boundary walls and classrooms, the inauguration being done under ‘Sikhiya Kranti’ might just add value to the lives of the students here.
