Divyang seeks repair of street in Tarn Taran

Navreet Singh Ratia, state president, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Handicapped Action Committee, and a resident of ward No. 13, Bath Road, Sham Kaur Colony, has demanded the repair of street damaged in front of his house. He alleged that the street has been damaged and he is facing problems in commuting.

Ratia said here today that to get the problem resolved, he has written to the Executive Officer (EO) of the local Municipal Council, Director, Local Government, Punjab, Punjab State Divyang Commissioner, Chandigarh and other officials, requesting get the street repaired immediately, but even after three months, the problem remains unresolved. The competent authorities have given him a certificate of being 100 per cent disabled.

Executive Officer (EO) of the Municipal MC Kamaljit Singh did not respond to repeated attempts to contact him on his mobile phone.
