The district Health Department has announced to organise an “Eat Right” walkathon and fest on Sunday. The officials stated the walkathon and mela are aimed at creating awareness about healthy food choices and the need for daily exercises.

The Civil Surgeon said the walkathon would begin from SSSS Chowk early in the morning while the food mela would begin at PITEX grounds from 5 pm.

Awareness on hepatitis

The district Health Department organised an event to create awareness about hepatitis, its causes, treatment and prevention. Civil Surgeon Dr Charanjit Singh said hepatitis had been categorised into five types: A, B, C, D and E. He said people should not share injection needles or shaving razors.
