Education kits distributed to 178 flood-affected students in Ajnala

Help A Child of India, an international NGO working for the holistic development of underprivileged children across the country, distributed education kits to 178 students from three schools in Malikpur village, Ajnala block, Amritsar district.

The initiative aimed to support children who had lost their school materials in the recent floods that struck the area. Each education kit included a school bag, water bottle and stationery items, helping the affected children resume their studies smoothly.

The distribution programme was led by Samson Masih, Red Cross secretary, and Baljinder Singh, sarpanch of Malikpur village.

Speaking on the occasion, Pawan Masih, Child Development Facilitator, said, “Help A Child of India is committed to supporting children and communities to bounce back to normal life in the aftermath of the devastating floods. We have provided psychosocial support interventions soon after the floods and in the coming days, we plan to distribute bedsheets, blankets, and mattresses to affected families.”
