Educational seminar dwells on complexities of immigration
Breaking down the complexities of real estate and business investments in various countries to seek citizenship or residentship and the impact of the ever-changing immigration industry, experts from various organisations conducted an educational seminar in collaboration with the Amritsar chapter of FICCI FLO.
Titled Global Investments, Mobility & Education Roadshow, the event brought together influential global leaders, industry experts and visionaries to explore international opportunities for growth and collaboration.
The event featured distinguished speakers, including Fatma Cayir, founder of Bridge Partners, United Kingdom; Katerina Saranti, head of business development, MIBC Greece; Christian Taulbee, vice- president, Christian Tyler Properties, USA; Ryan Guy, regional director for Startup Visa Services, Canada; and Anurag Manakikar, associate director, Henley & Partners. Joining them were Moin Ladha, João Baptista, Rohit Bhardwaj and Priyanka Upreti, all of whom shared valuable insights on global investments, business expansion and education opportunities.
Speaking at the event, Dr Simarpreet Sandhu highlighted FLO Amritsar’s commitment to empowering women through knowledge, skill-building and international networking. She emphasised that global mobility is no longer an option but a necessity, and FLO’s vision is to equip women with the right resources to expand their reach beyond borders.
The discussions focussed on investment pathways, startup opportunities and business scalability in various international markets. The event provided a platform for FLO members to engage with global experts, explore cross-border collaborations and gain deeper insights into international business landscapes.
Also, addressing the recent ‘fear’ among young investors and students seeking permanent residentship overseas after mass deportations by the US, experts including Rohit Bhardwaj, said that with right way, the global mobility/migration gets smooth. “There is no way to fear migration, as you cannot stop it. There are so many ways to secure a future overseas, you have to have the right sources,” said Bhardwaj.
