The Election Commission of India (ECI) has launched a new feature called ‘Book a Call with BLO’ on its Voter Service Portal to help citizens resolve voter list-related issues easily.
Giving the information, Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer Sakshi Sawhney said through this facility, any citizen or voter can connect directly with their Booth Level Officer (BLO) for assistance.
She explained that when a citizen books a call through the ‘Book a Call with BLO’ option on the portal, both the BLO and the applicant receive a text message. The BLO then calls the applicant to address their concerns related to voter registration or correction.
After the call, the BLO updates the call status on the BLO App by clicking the ‘Contacted’ button. If the applicant could not be reached, the BLO marks the call as ‘Unavailable.’
Sawhney said once the BLO responds, the report is automatically updated on the ECINet, and a confirmation message is also sent to the applicant.
The Deputy Commissioner urged residents of the district to follow the Election Commission’s official social media platforms to stay informed about election-related updates and guidelines.
