This globally recognised list identifies the most influential scientists across disciplines based on standardised citation indicators, including research output, quality and global impact.
A JC Bose National Fellow, Prof Singh is ranked No. 1 in India in the field of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry and Food Sciences. He also holds the 35th position across all academic disciplines in the country. Globally, he is ranked 38th in Agriculture, 23rd in Food Sciences and 3,335th overall.
With an H-index of 97 and more than 35,000 citations, Prof Singh is India’s most cited scientist. He has authored over 425 publications, including 326 original research papers, 48 review articles, 25 book chapters and two books published with the Royal Society of Chemistry and Springer. He has also served as a visiting professor in countries like the UK, USA, Japan and China.
Prof Singh is the recipient of numerous awards, including the JC Bose National Fellowship, the Rafi Ahmed Kidwai Award and the INSA Young Scientist Medal. Over his distinguished career, he has mentored more than 40 PhD scholars.
Dr Prabh Deep Singh, Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Graphic Era (Deemed to be University), has also been included in the list. His contributions to cloud computing, the Internet of Things (IoT), healthcare technology and cybersecurity have significantly advanced smart and sustainable technological solutions.
