Harpreet Singh and Dlibag Singh Pahuwind were among the KMSC leaders who paid their last respects to farmer Resham Singh and warned the Union Government for not acceding to the genuine demands of the agitating farmers saying the contribution of Resham Singh will not go waste. The pyre was lit by Inderjit Singh, the only son of the farmer. The administration was represented by the SDM, Bhikhiwind. KMSC leader Dilbag Singh flayed political leaders for not coming to express grief as neither any MLA nor any minister had come to express condolences to the family.
