Satnam Singh Pannu, the state president of the Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee, said rallies were taken out in Tarn Taran, Bhikhiwind, Khemkaran, Patti and villages, including Valtoha, Chabal, Harike, Sarhali, Khadoor Sahib, Fatehbad, Amarkot, Sursingh and Shahbazpur. He said women workers, too, participated in the rallies.

“The agriculture-related Ordinances passed by the Union Government are meant to spoil the lives of crores of people in the farming sector by depriving farmers of the Minimum Support Price fo theri crops. The Ordinances and the other similar policies were a part of the privatisation agenda of the government,” said Satnam Singh Pannu.
