Complainant Kirandeep Kaur told the police that she was married to Jasbir Singh in 2017 and after a few months of the marriage, her husband and in-laws started harassing her. She said in September 2018, she became the mother of a girl and her in-laws beat her up and threw out of the house.

Kirandeep said she came to know that Jasbir was going to marrying another woman in Butari village without divorcing her with the mediation of Raj Kaur.

Investigating officer Tejpal Singh said further investigation was on and efforts were on to arrest the suspects.
