The Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB) arrested retired Sub-Inspector Daljit Singh, who was then posted at the Cantonment police station, Amritsar, for accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 here on Tuesday. He was currently lodged in the Amritsar Central Jail under the NDPS Act and was brought on production warrant and was arrested by the Vigilance Bureau.

Disclosing this here on Tuesday, an official spokesperson for the state Vigilance Bureau said Daljit Singh was arrested based on a complaint lodged by Joga Singh, a resident of Kotli Naseer Khan village in Amritsar.
