Senior Superintendent of Police (Rural) Maninder Singh said that the accused was injured in firing when he was taken to recover a weapon on his disclosure during a preliminary probe.

Rohit Singh pushed the cops and fired with the recovered revolver at the police team. The cops narrowly escaped and fired in self-defence with the bullet injuring Rohit Singh in the left leg. He was taken to hospital for treatment. The police have recovered the weapon.
