A unique inter-college Punjabi attire competition, dedicated to Punjab's textile heritage and culture was held at Guru Nanak Dev University's Dashmesh Auditorium. Coordinated by Dr Saroj Arora, Dean of the College Development Council, the event saw participation from a large number of students, given that this was the university's first such event. Twenty-five colleges showcased Punjab's rich culture, tradition and legacy through their presentations.

Dr Palwinder Singh said, "We possess one of the world's richest cultural heritage, encompassing our turban, speech and demeanour. We must showcase this on the right platform to establish Punjab's unique identity on the global stage."

In the boys' category, Karandeep Singh from Sikh National College, Banga, secured first place, followed by Jaswinder Singh from Baba Namdev University College, Kishankot.

In the girls' attire category, Sukhnoor Heer from Hindu Kanya College, Kapurthala, clinched the first place, while Ravijot Kaur from Khalsa College for Women, Amritsar and Jaismeen Kaur from Bebe Nanki University College, came second. The third position was shared by Amisha from BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar, Gurkiran Kaur from SS College of Commerce and Harleen Kaur from Bebe Nanki College, Mithra.
