The Harike police arrested three robbers with illegal weapons and a stolen motorcycle on Thursday night at a checkpoint. The police said the party led by ASI Sukhwant Singh had set up a checkpoint on the Booh bridge. The robbers, who were travelling on a motorcycle, attempted to retreat on seeing the barricade, but the bike slipped and they fell to the ground.
The police party managed to nab all three suspects. A country-made revolver with two live cartridges and 11 empty cartridges was recovered from them. The police added that the motorcycle being used by the robbers had also been stolen.
