Teams conducted inspections at various locations to check for mosquito larvae responsible for dengue and chikungunya. Larvae were found at several sites and were immediately destroyed on the spot. Additionally, residents were educated about preventive measures to help stop the spread of these mosquito-borne diseases.

Civil Surgeon Dr Swarnjeet Dhawan said after floods, it is natural for water to collect in many areas, but stagnant water becomes a breeding ground for mosquitoes. “It is our collective responsibility to ensure that water does not remain stored anywhere,” he said.
