The Multipurpose Health Workers Union (MHWU), Punjab, held a district-level meeting under the leadership of district president Gurbir Singh Pandori on Saturday. A memorandum of demands was submitted to the Civil Surgeon. Multipurpose health workers across the district participated in the meeting.

Gurbir Singh Pandori said the department has asked the health workers to collect data for dengue/malaria surveys. He said the health workers were already overworked and this additional responsibility was increasing their problems.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
