The city is abuzz with religious fervor as it prepares to celebrate the consecration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya tomorrow. The marketplaces in the city are adorned with large cutouts of Lord Rama. Flags flutter at many buildings, symbolising the collective excitement and reverence for the deity.
The atmosphere here is charged with spiritual fervour, as residents go the extra mile to showcase their devotion. Religious hymns reverberate across the city. The local market places have transformed into vibrant hubs of celebration, with decorative lights illuminating the surroundings in a kaleidoscope of colours.
The dazzling lights serve as a testament to the city’s unity in commemorating this significant event. Various local religious and social groups took out a shobha yatra to mark the historic occasion. Many religious organisations also distributed earthen lamps to the residents and urged them to light them up to honour Lord Rama.
The Voice of Amritsar, an NGO, took out a march from the Hall Gate to the Durgiana Temple, exhorting residents to celebrate the consecration of the Ram temple with fervour. The NGO took out a march, which started from. Dr Rakesh Sharma, founding member of the NGO, said, “We all should learn from the life of Lord Rama and try to imbibe his virtues.”
