Income Tax officials raided the famous Bansal Sweets on the Lawrence road here today. The sleuths of the I-T department also raided the residence of the owners on the Maqbool road and a few other properties.

One of the famous sweets manufacturers and sellers in the city, Bansal has outlets at other places too. Heavy police force was deployed at all raiding sites and mediapersons and general public was not allowed inside the stores during the raids.

Department officials remained tightlipped and refused to divulge any details.
