The Chief Khalsa Diwan kicked off the finals of inter-CKD sports events under the 24th Inter-CKD Sports Tournament-2025 with an opening ceremony at Sri Guru Harkrishan International School, Ranjit Avenue. The concluding matches in basketball, football, volleyball, kabaddi and kho-kho mark the last phase of the annual tournament.
The event opened with a Shabad seeking divine blessings, followed by performances by students that energised the atmosphere. Upholding its sports tradition, CKD office-bearers and members hoisted the CKD Sports Flag and released balloons while additional secretary Jaspal Singh Dhillon officially declared the games open.
School member in-charge Navtej Singh Narang praised the determination and sporting spirit of the participants. Addressing the gathering, vice-president Santokh Singh Sethi emphasised that sports is a powerful force in student development-building discipline, teamwork, confidence, resilience and strong character. Sports Committee Convener Rabinderbir Singh Bhalla briefed the participants on rules and urged them to compete fearlessly, fairly and with dedication. Winners of the various sports events will be awarded trophies and prizes at the end of the tournament.
