Navtesh Thakur and Manya Cheema of Holy Heart Presidency School jointly bagged the second position in the district by scoring 98.5 per cent marks each in the ISC Class XII board exams the results of which were declared on Sunday evening.
Navtesh was a non-medical student and Manya a medical student. Besides these two, other meritorious students from the school include Anmolpreet Singh (non-medical) with 97.25 per cent marks, Avneet Uppal (medical) 98.25 per cent marks, Manraj (medical) 97.25 per cent marks.
In the commerce stream, Prabhjot Kaur scored 97.75 per cent marks, Shenazpreet Kaur scored 97.5 per cent marks and Balraj Singh scored 97.2 per cent marks. In humanities, Udhaykaran and Ishita Seth shared the 1st position with 94 per cent marks. In Class XII, out of 221 students, 25 students scored above 95 per cent marks and 90 students above 90 per cent marks.
For the first time in the history of the board exams, the CISCE conducted two exams in a single examination year and the results are declared with the Semester I marks of each subject halved. These marks are then added to Semester II marks and practical/project marks to arrive at the final marks in each subject.
Prabhjot tops commerce stream with 97.75%
