Government Elementary School, Jhanjoti in Amritsar, was selected among best schools in the district. The selection was made after a survey conducted by the Education Department regarding the academic, co-academic achievements of school students, performance of school teachers and the overall evaluation of school infrastructure. These schools were shortlisted in each category — elementary, middle, high and senior secondary.
