Stressing on the importance of trees, Bajwa said that trees not only make the atmosphere clean but also prevent the spread of diseases. He added that trees were significant in maintaining balance.

He said the tree plantation drive is the need of the hour to combat deforestation, soil erosion and mitigate climate change, besides societal well-being. Bajwa called upon the sections of society to take part in the plantation drive.
