The boxing players of Khalsa College Senior Secondary School,
which is run under the aegis of Khalsa College Governing Council, have won in all three categories —- 14, 17 and 19 years for boys —- at the district level.
Principal of the institution, Dr Inderjit Singh Gogoani and Head of School Sports, Rankirat Singh Sandhu, informed that the district-level school boxing tournament was held at Khalsa College School for three consecutive days for the session 2025-26. Boxing players from various schools of the district participated in these competitions.
Dr Gogoani said it was a matter of great pride for the school and the Khalsa College Governing Council that under boxing coach Baljinder Singh, players in the age-group of 14, 17 and 19 years have maintained the supremacy of the school by being winners for the last 25 years. On this proud achievement, Khalsa College Governing Council and principal Dr Gogoani congratulated the boxing coach and the players.
Recently, a boxer of the academy, Bhagwan Singh, returned after completing a year-long diploma from NIS, Patiala. Bhagwan Singh was a national medallist. He was the fourth player who underwent training at the National Institute of Sports, Patiala.
Earlier, Jaspreet Kaur and Rajnish Kaur, both working with Punjab Sports Department and Daljit Kaur, now working with Punjab Police, graduated from NIS, Patiala.
