A special Kirtan Darbar was organised today at Gurdwara Wazir Bhullar as part of the events dedicated to the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur. Devotees from the area gathered in large numbers and the Ragi Jathas performed soulful kirtan that filled the atmosphere with devotion.
MLA Dalbir Singh Tong attended the event and offered prayers. He honoured the Ragi Jathas with siropa. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the Punjab Government, under the leadership of CM Bhagwant Mann, is organising many programmes across the state to mark the 350th martyrdom year of the Guru with respect and devotion.
He informed that the Nagar Kirtan, which started from Sri Anandpur Sahib, will reach Amritsar on November 20. After that, it will leave for Tarn Taran on November 21.
Tong further shared that from November 23 to 25, several major events will be held at Sri Anandpur Sahib. These include religious programmes, a Sarbat Dharm Sammelan, a special session of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha, Dhadi and Kavishar Darbar, Kirtan Darbar, Gurbani Katha, and even a drone show. He urged people of the region to visit Sri Anandpur Sahib in large numbers and offer their respect at the birthplace of the Khalsa.
Many prominent personalities, including Sarwan Singh Bal, Sarpanchs Baldev Singh, Pradeep Singh, Kulbir Singh, Ranbir Singh, Sharanjit Singh Kot Mehtab, besides Sandeep Virdi, Gurdev Singh Khalsa, Major Singh, Mewa Singh, Dalbir Singh, Paramjit Singh, Sukhbir Singh, Master Jagjit Singh and Granthi Jasbir Singh, along with devotees, attended.
