The activists of left-leaning organisations held a rally and staged a march at the local Gandhi Municipal Park here calling upon all right thinking people to be united against imperialist forces which were bent on crushing Marxist thinking and were challenging America and its allies.

Activists of different left parties attended the rally which was organised under the leadership of Mukhtiar Singh Mallha, Heera Singh and others. Chaman Lal Darajke, Baljinder Singh Gohalwar, Rajinder Pal Kaur, Gurdial Singh Khadoor Sahib, Dakljit Singh Dialpura and Balkar Singh Valtoha were among those who addressed the gathering. The speakers alleged that America was pushing the world towards third world war. The activists shouted slogans against the US policies towards countries which were challenging its authority.
