The issue of poor sanitation in holy city was prominently raised by committee members. They said, “Officials should coordinate with the MLAs for carrying out development works. If the solid waste management company is not working as per rules and regulations, a complete report should be prepared and sent to the committee so that action could be taken in this regard.”

The committee members asked officials to regularise illegal hotels under a scheme.
