Lieutenant Akashdeep Singh of Kairon village in TarnTaran, who stood first in the recently held pass out batch of Indian Military Academy, Dehradun, in overall performance category, visited Nishan-E-Sikhi Khadoor Sahib on Saturday. It was pertinent to mention here that he was the only Punjabi youngster who achieved this position after about 20 years of period. He met international environmentalist Baba Sewa Singh, head of the Kar Sewa sect, Khadoor Sahib, shared his experiences of training. Akashdeep completed his secondary education from Sainik School Kapurthala. He joined training at National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla (Pune) for first three years and completed his last year at IMA Dehradun in Uttarakhand.
In a message to young students who are preparing for NDA in Nishan-E-Sikhi and other institute said, “One should focus on his goal all the times. If you are able to do that you will be definitely successful”. Baba Sewa Singh honoured Akashdeep and his parents. Baba Baldev Singh and secretary of Nishan-E-Sikhi, Avtar Singh Bajwa too addressed on the occasion.
