Man beaten to death, three booked for culpable homicide

The police have booked three persons on charges of culpable homicide in connection with the killing of a person at Harsha Chhina Vichla Killa village on Monday.

Harbhajan Singh was beaten to death allegedly by the accused following an altercation.

The accused have been identified as Baldev Singh, Jaswant Singh and Baljit Singh, all residents of Harsha Chhina Vichla Killa village falling under jurisdiction of Rajasansi police station.

Gursahib Singh, who is son of the deceased, said around 4.30 pm on Monday he along with his father was present at water supply overhead tank when the accused came and threatened them that they would not allow them to live near the water tank. He alleged that within no time the accused attacked them. He said he ran for cover, but the accused got hold of hid father and thrashed him. He said his father died on the way to the hospital.

A case under Section 304 of the IPC has been registered.
