Man electrocuted in Khemkaran village

A man was electrocuted at Chackwalia village falling in the Khemkaran area on Monday. The deceased was identified as Lakhbir Singh (50). Harjinder Singh, son of the deceased, said his father had gone to fields for irrigating the wheat crop. The deceased was electrocuted as soon as he touched the switch of a tubewell. He was rushed to a private hospital in Bhikhiwind where doctors declared him brought dead. The police have initiated proceeding under Section 174 of the CrPC.
