Man murdered after altercation

Within hours of the incident, the police had arrested the accused, identified as Manna Singh alias Manna (28) of Prem Nagar and Krish (18), a resident of Guru Nanak Pura locality here. A case of murder was registered against them.
Manna was an e-rickshaw driver while Krish works in a physiotherapy centre run by an NGO.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Jagjit Singh Walia said that Divansh Sharma, son of the deceased, lodged a complaint with the police that his father worked with Kunal Trading Company on Bohri Sahib road. He said that after school, he also used to work with his father. He said yesterday at around 7.30 pm, he was working at the shop when Manna and Deepu of Prem Nagar had a quarrel with Jaspal of Shivpuri, Tikki and Krish of Rode Shah.
He said that his father Kishan intervened and helped reach a compromise between the two groups. He said that at around 10.30 pm, when they were closing the shop, they came outside and started arguing with his father.
He alleged that Manna took out a ‘Datar’ from the house and attacked his father leaving him critically wounded. He died on the spot.
The DCP said that Mannu and Krish were nabbed while raids were on to arrest the remaining accused.
