A married woman identified as Gianvati (22) allegedly ended life by hanging from the ceiling of her house. She was allegedly perturbed over harassment by her husband identified as Arun Kumar, a resident of Bareilly, now residing in a house on the Loharaka road here.
Though the incident happened on Thursday, the police registered a case yesterday after a complaint was lodged by the woman’s brother. Kisamati Sahni, victim’s brother, a resident of Ludhiana, stated to the police that Gianvati was married to Arun Kumar around two years ago. The couple had one-year-old son.
