MC replaces lid on sewer manhole
Taking serious note of the news item that appeared in these columns, the local Municipal Council replaced the damaged sewer lid again today. The public grievance was brought to the notice of the administration by social activist Dalwinder Singh Pannu and Karam Singh Lalpura after the problem was highlighted in this newspaper. Deputy Commissioner Rahul sought detailed information in the matter.
The site of the broken manhole lid in front of the local Tehsil Complex and Quality Sweets had caved in causing inconvenience to the commuters and was replaced only a week back but was damaged again a few days later.
Social activists Dalwinder Singh Pannu and Karam Singh expressed their satisfaction over the sewer manhole lid having been replaced and demanded action against those responsible for using substandard material in civic works.
