Union block president Sukhwinder Kaur presided over the meeting. In her address, Kaur called for two uniforms — for warm and cold months — to be provided by the Punjab Government, and also demanded life insurance worth Rs 5 lakh for the workers. She also demanded for an increase in the monthly salary to Rs 18,000.
