Punjab Minister for Power and PWD, Harbhajan Singh ETO, formally launched development works worth Rs 9.5 crore in Jandiala rural assembly segment on Saturday. ETO stated that Jandiala would be developed at par with the city and all facilities would be provided to its residents.
Giving details about various development works to be undertaken in the constituency, ETO said the 2.24 km road in village Narayangarh would be constructed at a cost of Rs 81.35 lakh, 8.84 km road in village Wadala Johal at a cost of Rs 271.12 lakh, 4.63 km road in village Devidaspura at a cost of Rs 153.01 lakh, 7.36 km road in village Tarsikka at a cost of Rs 246.33 lakh, 3.45 km road in village Tarsikka of gram panchayat Kartar Singh Nagar at a cost of Rs 106.14 lakh and 1.670 km road in village Rana Kalan at a cost of Rs 73.51 lakh.
The minister said the streets of these areas would be paved with interlocking tiles. ETO said development works would be completed in the next six months and the construction of these roads would provide much relief to residents of these places in terms of facilitating smooth flow of traffic. He said that instructions have been issued to the officials to complete these works on time.
The minister said during the last three years, the Aam Aadmi Party government under the leadership of CM Bhagwant Mann has brought the state back on track.
