Ministers Harbhajan Singh ETO and Laljit Singh Bhullar alongwith officials concerned visited the flood affected villages along the Sutlej on Monday and heard the problems faced by the residents .

The ministers went from Harike head works to the tail end near Muthianwala village and took first-hand information of the Dhussi Bandh and took stock of the strengthening of the river embankments being done by the followers of Baba Sukha Singh, head of Kar Sect, Sarhali, who have been working round-the-clock for the last two weeks.

The ministers expressed their satisfaction over the services of Baba Sukha Singh’s followers.

The ministers then talked to the residents of Ghadum, Basti Lal Singh, Sabhra, Radhalke and Muthianwala.

They assured the residents of all help by the state government. They added that the release of the excess water downstream was causing much loss to the farmers.
