Chief Khalsa Diwan organises Nagar Kirtan to mark birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh
Amritsar: To commemorate the birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh, founder of the Khalsa Panth, Chief Khalsa Diwan (CKD), organised a nagar kirtan that was attended by faculty, management and students of all schools and educational institutions under the CKD. Nagar kirtan started from the CKD’s head office to Sri Darbar Sahib with a ‘Ardaas’. They urged the sangat to improve their conduct in accordance with the teachings of Guru Sahib. The nagar kirtan was followed by tableaus of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji bedecked with flowers, including kirtan teams, band teams, teaching and non teaching staff of Amritsar CKD schools, colleges, hospitals, orphanage and other CKD institutes. The procession was marked by rendering of holy ‘Shabad Kirtan’ by the music teams of various CKD schools and colleges. After the culmination of the procession at Sri Harmandir Sahib, ‘Guru Ka Langar’ was served to all. TNS
