NCC cadets take part in mock security drill

NCC cadets participated in mock drills and first aid rehearsals organised by the district administration at Mai Bhago College of Nursing, Usman, on Thursday.

The exercise was conducted under the guidance of Civil Defence Department, Tarn Taran. The cadets were given detailed briefing on the methods of conducting first aid mock drills, including sequence of operations, equipment and coordination with the Civil Defence Department. Drill covering various emergency situations was also shared with the NCC cadets as the NCC can act as the second line of defence and assist in important tasks like civil defence, security of installations and support to essential services during emergency situations.

The rehearsal was attended by 70 cadets of 24 Punjab Battalion and 9 Punjab Battalion, NCC, Amritsar, which ensured the cohesiveness between the district civil administration and NCC units.
