Voice of Amritsar, an NGO, planted tree saplings at the Amritsar campus of IK Gujral Punjab Technical University here while spreading the message of environmental conservation.

Indu Aurora, president of the organisation and Dr Jaspreet Grover, Executive Member, said that by planting trees in the campus, the organisation has taken a step toward making the city greener. They added that their goal was to transform the holy city of Amritsar into a greener and cleaner place, and the NGO was continuously striving towards that objective.

Event coordinators Rajwinder Pal, Vikas Arora and Amit Sharma urged the citizens to come forward and join the campaign. They encouraged residents to plant trees in their neighborhoods and contact the organisation for assistance.

Dr Saurabh Sharma and Dr Vipul Sharma of the institute thanked the organisation and assured that the campus staff would take full care of the saplings. Executive members of the organisation, volunteers and campus staff were also present during the event.
