People with special needs can get Aadhaar cards made from Feb 10

From February 10, special camps will be organised for making Aadhaar cards of persons with special needs. Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ghanshyam Thori said the Punjab Government was providing welfare services to people at the doorstep so that they do not have to make rounds of offices to get their work done.
The DC said these camps were being organised at the Community Health Centre of each area. He said, “Aadhaar card will be the only identification of persons with disabilities at the national level. Medical examination of persons with disabilities will be done to make the card. Awareness is being created among people to make cards.”
Giving more information in this regard, District Social Security Officer Kirtpreet Kaur said on February 10 and 17, a camp for people with ortho disabilities would be held at CHC, Tarsikka; for ENT disabilities at CHC, Manawala on February 13; at CHC, Lopoke on February 15; at CHC, Verka, on February 20; at CHC, Ramdass, on February 22; for ortho disabilities at the CHC, Threyawal, on February 27; and for ENT disabilities at CHC, Manawala, on February 29. She said to get the card digitised, beneficiaries, who had applied for Aadhaar cards, should bring their slips at these camps.
