The state body of the Rural Pharmacy Officers Association, in a meeting held here today, announced plans to organise a state-level demonstration in Tarn Taran on November 2 to press for their long-pending demands. The meeting was attended by members of the state body.
Addressing the gathering, association leaders Jyot Ram Madnipur, Swarat Sharma, and Harinder Singh Dhunda said they have been working with the state government on meagre salaries for nearly 20 years, yet their services have not been regularised, nor has the government made any proposal in this regard.
The leaders warned that if the government fails to regularise their services by November 2, they would launch an indefinite dharna thereafter.
