The Patti Sadar police today registered a case against the husband and wife who abetted the suicide of Satnam Singh, a 40-year-old farmer from Ghariala village, five days ago. The police action comes amid mounting public pressure, with farmers of the area, led by the Kirti Kisan Union (KKU), continuously protesting day and night in front of the police station for the past three days.
