A team of the local Sadar police led by ASI Nirmal Singh recovered 150 litres of lahan from the house of Dharamjit Singh Kaku, a resident of Walipur village, in the area yesterday. The accused fled from the spot. The police have registered a case under Sections 61, 1 and 14 of the Excise Act in this regard.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
