Khalra police led by sub-inspector Lakhbir Singh searched the fields of a farmer Baljinder Singh of Mari Kamboke village in Thursday after receiving a tip-off and recovered heroin weighing 512 gram and a broken drone. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Abhimanyu Rana said that the packet and the drone had come from across the border. The police have registered a case under section of 21-C, 61, 85 of the NDPS Act and section 10, 11 and 12 of the Aircraft Act.

In another instance, the Pacha Pakka police led by sub-inspector Balraj Singh arrested a car-borne person, Manpreet Singh Manna of Kot Budha village, with 90 gram of heroin. Jugraj Singh of Patti and Gurjit Singh, residents of Kairon, were arrested with 13 grams of heroin by the Patti city police led by sub-inspector Manpreet Kaur, added the SSP.
