Portugal-based gangster's henchmen caught in Amritsar encounter; one injured

The police have arrested two alleged gangsters after an encounter leaving one of them injured.
The incident happened at around 3.30am near Taran Wala Pul here.
They had fired several gunshots outside the residence of a soda maker Jasdeep Singh alias Sajan in Sundar Nagar locality around four days ago.

Portugal-based gangster Mann Ghanshampuria had taken responsibility of the instance,  which was outcome of a gang rivalry.
Though the police was tight lipped over the incident, a cop has confirmed their arrest.
The encounter occurred when the police chased them after they got a tip off that they were hiding in New Amritsar area. They were trying to escape to Tarn Taran.
An encounter occurred near Taran Wala Pul when the accused allegedly fired at the chasing police party. In the retaliatory fire, one of the accused was injured while the other managed to slip away taking advantage of darkness. However, he was later arrested by the police. The police have seized two pistols from their possession.
