President Murmu inspires Batala’s Woodstock students to aim higher

Students of Woodstock Public School, Batala, were in a joyous mood after meeting President Droupadi Murmu at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Centre on the occasion of Children’s Day yesterday.

Four students — Prisha Handa, Ishaan, Prarthana and Samrath — had the privilege of meeting the President. They were accompanied by the school chairpersons, Dr Satnam Singh Nijjar and Dr Satinderjit Kaur Nijjar.

During the interaction, the President advised the students to “dream big and dream for a new and developed India.” Before beginning their conversation, the students enthusiastically chanted “Bharat Mata Ki Jai,” and the President joined them, echoing the same words.

Dr Satnam Singh Nijjar described the meeting as “a historic moment for Batala and Batalvis.”

“Our students interacted with confidence and clarity of thought. It was a dream come true for them. This moment sends a message to every child in Batala that meeting the President of India is never an impossible dream. This historic occasion will always remain a significant milestone for the school,” he said.

The students presented the President with a painting and she assured them that it would be displayed on the premises of Rashtrapati Bhavan.
