Tarn Taran: The district police freezed property of two drug smugglers worth Rs 7.61 crore here on Monday. SSP Dhruman H Nimbale said in the move launched a year ago the district police had seized property worth Rs 100.21 crore of 82 smugglers so far. The SSP said today property worth Rs 6.31 crore of Hardev Singh of Sheron village and property worth Rs 1.30 crore of Avtar Singh of the same village had also been freezed. The property freezed included movable and immovable. — OC

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
