The district police have frozen property worth Rs1.41 crore of two more smugglers on Wednesday. With this, the total value of property freezed by the police has risen to Rs 5.5 crore. Properties of 13 infamous smugglers have been attached in the last ten days.

SSP Dhruv Dahiya said on Wednesday that property worth Rs 78 lakh of Lakhbir Singh of Daudpur has been attached and moveable and immovable assets worth Rs63 lakh owned by Gurdev Singh of Amarkot village has also been frozen, said SSP.

The district police have received orders of the Competent Authority, SAFEM (FOP) Act and the NDPS Act for freezing assets of the drug peddlers. More cases of property attachment would follow, said the SSP.
