Members of the Tarksheel Society released the July-August edition of its magazine after holding a meeting at the Company Bagh here on Monday.

The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Balwinder Dudhala. Addressing members of the society, he flayed the dictatorial attitude of the Narendra Modi government and its recalcitrant approach towards three laws on farming. He said the government must shed its pro-corporate approach by immediately repealing these laws.

Jaspal Baserke and Ashwani Kumar said these three laws had inherently favoured the corporate houses whose prime objective is profiteering. These laws will drive the farmers and labourers towards insolvency. They demanded cancellation of the case registered against 100 protesting farmers at Sirsa. — TNS
